As a global MJ pilgrim, since 2010 I have consciously focussed my travels on visiting locations connected with Michael Jackson and/or attending MJ-related events.
My other interests include History, Archaeology, Travel, Books, Writing, Art, Photography, Movies, the Port Adelaide Football Club (Magpies & Power) and Game of Thrones.
I am also active in Environmental, Conservation and Humanitarian issues and animal welfare, though mostly via the internet these days. (In the late 70s and early 80s I worked for Greenpeace here in Australia.) Periodically I study Ancient History, Archaeology and Anthropology through the Open University.
As a Michael Jackson fan, I especially love the mature Michael, from his Bad tour onward, but especially in the 90s and 00s.
The Facebook fan group I run is called ‘Michael Jackson’s short film “Ghosts”‘ in honour of my favourite MJ video. The group is intended as an up-beat, family-friendly page for MJ fans with similar tastes in things MJ and who share an interest in making the world a better place through Michael’s music and message. The group supports the Michael Jackson Estate and Michael’s children Prince, Paris and ‘Blanket’/’Bigi’.
The group is the home of A Candle for Michael newsletter, published monthly as a ‘pinned’ post at the top of the group page and is also published here in WordPress. It is also available by email subscription.
Please note that the photo here is unfortunately a digital creation. Sadly, I never met Michael and I freely acknowledge that I did not become a committed fan until 2009. I’ve been trying to make up for my inattentiveness ever since.
